It's still pouring here, but I'm enjoying the quiet peacefulness of a drizzly day. To celebrate father's day, my dad and I kicked back and watched a Vincente Minnelli marathon-- An American in Paris followed by Gigi. Bliss! I adore all the colors and musical sequences in each film. Inspired, I made this little collage in Polyvore:
If only these divine clothes were a little more affordable! Perhaps if I search diligently, I can find some suitable vintage equivalents. Le sigh.
Aw, time with Dadoo! Love it. I don't think I could get my dad to sit through a musical with me. We should have a musical marathon this summer! :)
ReplyDeleteI actually have a pair of earrings somewhere like the ones in your blog...they're black pearls (probably not real, since I've had them forever) and they are the most incredible accessory I have ever owned. Now if only I could find them...
ReplyDeleteOh, Gigi always makes me so happy!
ReplyDeleteI love your collage. But I'm sure you can find something similar that's actually in your price range. Vintage is definitely the way to go. Plus then you get to do a good deed and recycle as well ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a good day. Really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh, and how I love that outfit as well!
i love that skirt/sweater combo. LOVE
ReplyDeleteI thought the blouse/skirt combo was a dress until I clicked on it! It goes together absolutely perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI love the movie Gigi and even had a pekingese named after it :)
ReplyDeleteHi Erin!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this polyvore!! Perfect outfit!
