After berry-picking

summer 10 045, originally uploaded by erincathleen.

After a quiet summer evening spent picking blackberries in my own backyard,I feel like quite the New Englander.

Normally I wouldn't post photos of myself makeup-less and wearing just a t-shirt and workout leggings, but my mom decided to trail me with my camera... and there you have it. Au natural, in nature. I must admit, I rather like the results...

Attempting to post photos from my Flickr account. What do you think... how's the image quality? It's good to try something new.

Speaking of which, these blackberries are delicious... :)

Your post title immediately made me think of the Robert Frost poem, "After Apple-Picking." Also very New England-y. What did you guys end up doing with the berries? Did you eat them as-is or did you bake with them?

Your hair looks gorgeous in these photos. Can't wait to see you! Soon!

P.S. The photo quality looks good. I've been toying with the idea of uploading my blog photos to my Flickr account, too...

hey, sorry for the delay in responding to your JP related question! JET def. takes a long time. The good part is, it pays pretty well, and you'll have a very relaxed schedule, so you get to go out and do other stuff a lot. if you go through a private company, you will be fighting with them all time, trying to get visa and get paid... if you just wants to save up money and spend some time in tokyo, i would say go for it!

Emily: Yup, that was a deliberate reference to Mr. Frost. Nice catch! And I would definitely give Flickr a try! I've already uploaded so much that it's time to consider whether or not to get a paid account, hehe...

Chie (my apologies if that's the wrong name! hope I got it right): thank for you all your advice on Japan! It's something I'm definitely looking into, maybe for next year, depending on what my job situation is... I will certainly keep all your pointers in mind! Japan has always fascinated me, and I know it would be a great place to work, live or visit!
